About Keramiek Kafee Utrecht

Keramiek Kafee Utrecht was founded by Annelies. Her love for pottery began during her training as an art teacher, where she was first introduced to modelling and shaping clay. Her fascination with this beautiful craft was born immediately. 
 
She later developed her skills further by taking a pottery course at the Ambachtsacademie van Ambacht Nederland (Craft Academy of Ambacht Nederland). Since then, Annelies has been working as a ceramist and potter. She enjoys sharing her knowledge by giving lessons and workshops, and sells her handmade pottery.

​She finds her inspiration in nature, shapes and architecture, together with a love for objects that are both beautiful and functional. As a craftsperson, Annelies sees the limitations of materials and techniques as a creative challenge.
